A message of thanks to his donors:

“On behalf of the leadership team at the Diabetes CUP Clinic at the College of Medicine - Tucson (University of Arizona), I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the sponsors, patrons, and donors of the Scholars Equity Network and the PIFA Accelerator. We are excited to make our first purchases for diagnostics and essential clinical supplies that will magnify our current services. Your generosity has strengthened our ability to deliver comprehensive, community-centered care and improving health outcomes for some of Arizona’s most underserved patients." - Rodrigo Bravo

Goal: Create a free clinic in Tucson, Arizona dedicated to treating diabetes and related metabolic disorders.

The need: Nearly one in nine adults in Tucson has diabetes and patients often have to wait a year or more to get access to basic primary care. Rodrigo’s project is a student-run healthcare clinic. The clinic will provide free, high-quality care exclusively to underserved patient populations.

Imagine losing your eyesight or your leg because you couldn’t get to a doctor’s appointment in time. This is a reality here in Tucson, Arizona… For many patients that we serve, this clinic is really the only access point for care.
